Carlos is an NPC in Vigil the Longest Night. NPCs are characters that can be interacted with or are shown in the game. NPCs are characters that add contrast to the game's lore where they provide information, some are categorized as quest givers, while others are categorized as Merchants whom you can trade with or request for certain services.

Carlos Information
Carlos is a young, laid-back alchemist of Maye Hall who usually hangs out in the main area of the Hall, admiring the grand statue of Shimmer Goddess. After being given Mysterious Powder (side quest Errands) Carlos will temporarily move to Maye Hall's Workshop to mix medicine. He moves back to the main area after Leila takes the Reused Bottle from him. When offered a Potion Box (side quest Placebos) Carlos will refuse to accept it, stating that he only takes medicine of his own making.
Carlos unknowingly provides a distraction for the Doctor during side quest Mysterious Person. He approaches Leila in front of the Asylum and asks her for help: he needs Leila to invite the Doctor to give a speech in Maye Hall on his behalf, to give those who lost family and friends to the plague a little hope and raise their spirits. Carlos is hesitant to approach the Doctor by himself because the residents of Maye Hall treated the Doctor badly in the past and their current relationship isn't very good. Carlos is so deeply moved by the Doctor's sermon and his efforts to cure the plague that he abandons his own rule about never taking medicine made by others. He willingly takes the Doctor's medicine in front of skeptics to prove that it won't harm them.
In Act 3 Lilian reveals that Carlos died in the Tavern. He was making a toast to her and all of a sudden fell on the table, causing other patrons to panic. Kim ran up to help, but Carlos' body liquified and melted into the ground in Kim's hands.
