Thomas and Ochio are a pair of NPCs in Vigil the Longest Night. NPCs are characters that can be interacted with or are shown in the game. NPCs are characters that add contrast to the game's lore where they provide information, some are categorized as quest givers, while others are categorized as Merchants whom you can trade with or request for certain services.

Thomas and Ochio Information

Thomas and Ochio are a pair of brothers who constantly bicker and tease each other, but nonetheless are always seen together. According to Ochio when his little brother digs into something nobody can change his mind, yet in spite of Ochio's constant complaining about Thomas' stream of ideas he always tags along.

Leila first meets Thomas and Ochio on the Mountain Pass at the start of Act 2. Both parties are equally confused by the other's behavior, and in the end the brothers offer to take the disoriented Vigilant to the Doctor in Maye Town. Leila declines their help, intending to reach the town on her own. Thomas and Ochio go ahead, to spread the news of the Vigilant's arrival.

The second encounter happens on the edge of th Village: both Thomas and Ochio are out of breath after barely escaping the monsters of the Flooded Area which Thomas wanted to search for treasures. Ochio complains that the shipwrecks are like a maze, and vows to never return there.

Leila encounters the brothers once again in the Depressing Forest. There Thomas asks Leila to help them find the Golden Slime's Plasmodium (quest: Gold Rush) and at Ochio' suggestion gives her his Recurve Bow and Iron Arrow x50 as a downpayment. Leila can return the bow at any point before finding the required item, which will fail the quest and the brothers will leave. If Leila finds and hands over the Golden Slime's Plasmodium she will be be allowed to keep the bow and will be rewarded with additional 777 Gold. If the quest was accepted, but not completed or cancelled by the time the player completes the quest Ancient Seal then in Act 3 Ochio's bloodied body and a note by Thomas will appear where they stood before.
