Chris is an NPC in Vigil the Longest Night. NPCs are characters that can be interacted with or are shown in the game. Chris Information
Chris was a sickly young man living in the Village with his brother Gram, who took care of him their entire lives. At some point Gram started working for the Professor in exchange for a cure for his brother, however, despite the Professor's help Chris' condition continued to worsen: at the time of the protagonist's arrival Chris was already bedridden, plagued by constant coughing, and was vomiting blood. According to Tangerine, he also started speaking of desturbing things despite rarely speaking before. After Gram went missing his fellow Guards showed worry about Chris's future, mentioning that Gram always took care of him and that Chris has never been on his own.
In the prologue Chris can be found in his and Gram's house in the Village, and is barely able to speak. After Brood Mother is defeated, Chris' speech pattern changes drastically as he begins cursing the Goddess. If the player speaks to Chris with the Hexagonal Candle, the Ceremonial Bell, and the Ceremonial Costume in their inventory Chris will become frightned, give Bruna's Diary, Part 3, and beg Leila not to tell Gram.
