Sister Maggie is an NPC in Vigil the Longest Night. NPCs are characters that can be interacted with or are shown in the game. NPCs are characters that add contrast to the game's lore where they provide information, some are categorized as quest givers, while others are categorized as Merchants whom you can trade with or request for certain services.

Sister Maggie Information

Sister Maggie is a nun and can be found in Shimmer Church, standing behind the altar of the main hall. She tells Leila that the Bishop has been praying for months to end the plague, which has affected her health and has left her sickly. She believes that the Bishop's efforts will be rewarded by the Goddess and the plague will be driven from Maye soon.

If the player tries to enter the Church with any number of Potion Boxes in their possession (quest Placebos) Sister Maggie will stop them at the entrance, insisting that for the safety of the believers Leila's unknown medicine cannot not allowed within the Church. She then requests that Leila hands over all placebos she has. The player can either surrender the medicine, or leave and get rid of it elsewhere before returning.

If the player chooses to give Potion Boxes to Sister Maggie then in Act 3 it is revealed that she distributed the medicine around the Church, which caused several Mutated Louse Men to appear. The number of people that get transformed depends on how many Boxes were given away. Sister Maggie herself always dies, regardless of how the quest was completed. Her bloody body can be found behind the altar where she used to stand.
