Nordell is an NPC in Vigil the Longest Night. NPCs are characters that can be interacted with or are shown in the game. NPCs are characters that add contrast to the game's lore where they provide information, some are categorized as quest givers, while others are categorized as Merchants whom you can trade with or request for certain services.

Nordell Information

Nordell is the assistant of the Doctor, as well as his most loyal follower. He stayed with the Doctor and helped him with his experiments even after the relationship between the Doctor and the residents of Maye Hall worsened significantly. Some time prior to Leila's arrival to Maye Town Nordell found sealed Maye Guard's box in the Catacombs and brought their Cubic Crystal to the Doctor. Without knowing the crystal's purpose the Doctor failed to achieve anything with it, so he ordered Nordell to bring the crystal to the Mine as an experiment, which resulted in the Mine becoming corrupted and birthed Erupting Flesh Cluster.

After the Doctor asks Leila to investigate possible sources of the plague he also tasks Nordell with following her progress. Nordell can be found in the Flooded Area, the Mine, and at the Bufonitte Lake after each area's respective boss fight. If the player chooses to unseal the Giantwood by themselves instead of giving Cubic Crystals to the Doctor then Nordell will be found inside, gathering the Professor's notes for the Doctor in a hurry. If the Giantwood gets unsealed by the Doctor then Nordell does not appear, as by the time Leila reaches the Giantwood it's already explored by the Doctor.

In Act 3 mutated, but docile Nordell can be found in the Upper Underground Hall, muttering the Doctor's name.
