Tangerine is an NPC in Vigil the Longest Night. NPCs are characters that can be interacted with or are shown in the game. NPCs are characters that add contrast to the game's lore where they provide information, some are categorized as quest givers, while others are categorized as Merchants whom you can trade with or request for certain services.

Tangerine Information
Tangerine was the adoptive parent of Bruna whom she picked up from the Church when Bruna was just a baby. She was a very devout woman and tried her best to raise Bruna the same way. Tangerine adored her daughter and doted on her all the time. Tangerine deeply hated Gram and Chris for being heathens, going as far as calling Chris a freak, and prohibited her daughter from interacting with them. After Bruna went missing Tangerine refused to believe that she could've fled with Gram willingly, and lashed out on her neighbors for slandering Bruna.
At the start of the game distressed Tangerine is seen arguing with the Vice Captain in front of the Gate Outpost. She then leaves and can be found in Bruna's Home in the Village. Tangerine immediately shuts down the idea that Bruna was in a relationship with Gram, and mentions that Bruna used to be close with the Professor. After the player obtains the Ruby Necklace they can give it to Tangerine in exchange for the Ruby Ring. Tangerine will admit that she had a feeling that Bruna was already dead.
If the player re-enters Bruna's Home after giving Tangerine the Ruby Necklace they will find Tangering rocking a baby in her arms. Tangerine then says that she is considering naming the baby Bruna.

- Tangerine does not react to A Corner of Cloth Scrap.
- When shown Ceremonial Blouse Tangerine says that it is not Bruna's.
