Rove is an NPC in Vigil the Longest Night. NPCs are characters that can be interacted with or are shown in the game. NPCs are characters that add contrast to the game's lore where they provide information, some are categorized as quest givers, while others are categorized as Merchants whom you can trade with or request for certain services.

Rove Information

Rove is a resident of Maye Hall who can be found in the Dormitory. He hates that the Shimmer Church taxes people and pushes them to donate without actually doing anything to help people. After the Doctor gives his sermon in the Maye Hall (quest: Mysterious Person) Rove stays in the main hall. Upon being spoken to Rove once again complains about the Church and the missing Bishop, saying that some people even believe her to be long dead. Rove then asks Leila whether she believes that the Bishop is still alive or not. If the player chooses to doubt the Bishop's existence, Rove will give Leila The Fractured Holy Six Necklace and tell her to speak to Sister Holly while wearing it.

If Rove was given a Potion Box (qust: Placebos) then in Act 3 Rove will transform into a Mutated Louse Man. Otherwise his dead body will appear in the Dormitory, from which a Wrath of the Holy Six can be looted.
