Swane is an NPC in Vigil the Longest Night. NPCs are characters that can be interacted with or are shown in the game. NPCs are characters that add contrast to the game's lore where they provide information, some are categorized as quest givers, while others are categorized as Merchants whom you can trade with or request for certain services.

Swane Information
Swane can be found in the Tavern. When spoken to he will ask Leila whether Vigilant training indeed is as hard as he heard: that Vigilants can only eat raw foor, have to remain celibate, can't grow a beard, and need to memorize the Shimmer Code. Leila does not answer any of his questions.
After Brood Mother is defeated Swane will mention hearing that a Gatekeeper from the world of the dead is beneath the Cemetery, watching over some "symbolic entrance" which his mother called Porta Avernus. Swane believes that it's just a story to keep children away from danger.
