Starburst Compass in Vigil: The Longest Night is an Arcane Item. Players must equip Arcane Items to their quick slot for it to be used by Leila, these items allow her to execute various effects in the form of a mysterious form of magic. Casting Arcane Magic consumes Mana when used, which is shown to the right at the bottom right of the item's icon. Apart from that, each Arcane Item has its own cooldown time that is affected by your arcane status.
This ancient instrument is a piece of exquisite craftmanship covered in delicate carvings. Though it's extremely old, there's still a faint trace of magic about it.

It's duration is affected by something, but I haven't been able to pin down how it works. When I have 12 arcane and use no magic boosting items, it lasts 15 seconds. When I have a +6 ritual sceptre and 2 dead butterfly rings, it lasts about ~30 seconds (I was going by the cooldown timer, and that's only 25 seconds, so I might be off here). The strange thing is that when I use the rings and not the sceptre, or the sceptre and not the rings, the effect lasts 15 seconds, the same as if I use nothing at all. If anyone else figures it out, it'd be awesome if you could put that in.
