Miner Paul is an NPC in Vigil the Longest Night. NPCs are characters that can be interacted with or are shown in the game. NPCs are characters that add contrast to the game's lore where they provide information, some are categorized as quest givers, while others are categorized as Merchants whom you can trade with or request for certain services.

Miner Paul Information

Miner Paul is one of few survivors of the mysterious incident in the Mine. He begs Leila to help him find another miner, Vincent, who wasn't among miners rescued by Foreman Edward, and must still be trapped in the Mine. He explains to Leila that the main entrance to the Mine was destroyed by Foreman Edward, and in order to get inside she will have to get to the Mine Site on the mountain. Leila promises to look for Vincent, and Paul leaves and can later be found at Paul's and Vincent's Home in the Village.

If the player rescues Vincent, he and Paul will offer Leila all their savings - 50 Gold - as a reward. Should the player decline the monetary reward, they will gift Leila an Old Coin instead.

Paul's fate in Act 3 depends on whether or not he was given Doctor's medicine during sidequest Placebos. If he was given one, Paul transforms into a Mutated Louse Man and attacks Vincent in their house. If he wasn't given any then he and Vincent relocate to the Mill and remain there for the rest of the game.
