Arabela is an NPC in Vigil the Longest Night. NPCs are characters that can be interacted with or are shown in the game. NPCs are characters that add contrast to the game's lore where they provide information, some are categorized as quest givers, while others are categorized as Merchants whom you can trade with or request for certain services.

Arabela Information
Arabela is the current Bishop of Maye's Shimmer Church, but hasn't appeared in public for so long that some people have already started doubting her existence. In reality, Arabela is bed-bound in her chambers in the Shimmer Church, suffering from some unknown condition that has made her sick and delirious. In order to be allowed to enter Arabela's room Leila must pass the Test of Novation (quest: Serve the Church).
Arabela is gifted with an ability to see more than most mortals, although Arabela herself doesn't seem to be aware of it. In her fevered state, she recognizes Leila as the Goddess and speaks of twin sisters, but upon regaining the clarity of mind for a moment Arabela neither sees anything unusual about Leila, nor does she remember her own words. Upon succumbing to the fever again Arabela asks Leila for something to cover her eyes (quest: Light of the Truth) out of fear that Leila's light might blind her.
Arabela's fate in Act 3 depends on two things: whether or not Leila gave Sister Maggie any placebos, and whether or not she brought Arabela a Blindfold. If neither was done, Arabela will be found dead in her bed, with her eyes gouged out. If Sister Maggie was given even a single medicine Arabela will transform into a Mutated Louse Man. And if Arabela was given a Blindfold, but Sister Maggie was not given any placebos then Arabela will survive.
